Our mission

We started in 2017 as a team of graduates and PhD students from the biggest and most prestigious university in Romania, the Babeș-Bolyai University. Over the past 15+ years we have gathered a lot of experience and knowledge in the field of project management, being part of the management teams of various NGOs. Furthermore, a part of our team has more than five years experience in microalgae and molecular biology research.

Our mission is to promote a healthy and balanced diet. We want to grow and harvest Spirulina in controlled and supervised growing systems, in order to provide the purest form of this nutraceutical superfood for our customers, so that they can fully benefit from this microalgae’s healthy properties.





What is Spirulina

Spirulina is widely known as Spirulina platensis (Arthrospira platensis) and it is a cyanobacteria, a blue-green algae. Over the past hundred years, populations from Africa (Chad Lake) and Mexico (Texcoco Lake) harvested this cyanobacteria as a food source for both humans and animals (Vonshak, 1997) thanks to its surprisingly high nutraceutical properties, along with the ease of obtaining them.
Despite their micron dimensions, these microalgae have a high protein content (65-70%) and for this reason are suitable for people whose diet is vegan or vegetarian. Moreover, several scientific sources certify the high protein content which is also recommended to sportsmen (Diraman and colab., 2005; Rahman and colab., 2006; Pelizer and colab., 2003).

Spirulina Recipe no. 1

Spirulina Smoothie

one portion, 300 mL

– 1 banana
– 300 mL of milk (cow or soy milk)
– a ½ spoon of Spirulina powder
Mix and blend all the ingredients until full homogeneity. Serve it right away or keep it in the fridge for later serving in the hot summer days.

Spirulina Recipe no. 2


one portion, 300 mL

– 300 mL milk (soy milk or vanilla soy milk)
– a ½ spoon of Spirulina powder
– a ½ spoon of vanilla extract
– 1 spoon sugar/honey/sweetener
Dissolve the Spirulina powder in warm water and warm the milk (under 50° C). Add the vanilla extract, the sugar/honey/sweetener and mix it with Spirulina and the milk, then pour it in a cup and add a bit of Spirulina or cocoa powder on top.
